We had an absolutely amazing stay at Thunderbird Nest, truly one of those places that feels like a full reset for your mind and body. We stayed for three nights and didn’t want to leave.
The outdoor setup is incredible. The sauna is powerful and perfectly positioned to take in the beautiful views of Perch Lake, and the hot tub was just as relaxing. Even though the cold plunge (a Nightjar, just like the sauna) was closed for the winter, you can tell this place is designed for a full wellness experience.
Inside, the home is just as impressive. It’s beautifully decorated, every detail feels intentional and cozy without losing that elevated feel. The clawfoot tub was a highlight for us, perfect for long, relaxing soaks after a day of unwinding.
Nicole, the host, was fantastic, very attentive, responsive, and made everything seamless from start to finish.
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape to recharge, this is it. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed.

We are returning guest for our second time. We absolutely love the house. Everything is clean, stocked, and beautiful. The views are amazing. We had the pleasure of seeing beautiful Bald Eagles and Dolphins feeding. The host was so kind and responsive. We highly recommend and hope to return again!

Our family has never stayed in a better rental! I can’t say enough about how organized and clean the house was! Everything we could have wanted or needed was there! We hardly left the house because the kitchen was fantastic for cooking and preparing meals. The kids had plenty to do with ping pong and pool table along with the pool and amazing beach front! We enjoyed the provided Sa’mores on the fire pit one evening. We walked on the sandbars and used the kayaks and paddle boards. The house and beachfront were so private. We had the whole beach to ourselves everyday! I can’t say enough about Nicole and what a great place she made for our family to enjoy! We hope to return again next year!

We had a wonderful stay with our family. Thank you for providing such a cozy, relaxing, rejuvenating space. We throughly enjoyed the spa area; hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge. We also enjoyed making home cooked meals together, reading, puzzling, playing cards, and watching movies together. It was a perfect weekend to disconnect from the world and reconnect as a family. We’re planning another trip durning the summer.

Stayed at Thunderbird Nest for a cozy book‑retreat weekend, and it was everything we needed. We had an amazing stay at Nicole’s place. This was my first time booking an Airbnb specifically to relax and spend quality time with friends rather than just a place to sleep, and it was absolutely perfect. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with all the cookware you could think of, plus some pleasant surprises that made cooking even more enjoyable. The hot tub and sauna were fantastic and really elevated the whole experience. Nicole was extremely responsive, helpful, and addressed all of our questions quickly, which made the stay smooth and stress free. We would 100 percent recommend this place and would love to come back again.

We were looking for a place to rest and relax and we did just that at Nicole's place. The host was very easy to communicate with and the cottage itself was clean, comfortable and well stocked with amenities. We really enjoyed the spa area especially when we could sit and watch the snow fall. We are already looking forward to the next time we can visit!

We live in Michigan and wanted to do a quiet weekend away, near water, with our dog. This spot was beautiful, well appointed, and, I imagine, beautiful in the warmer months. We are already making plans to come back!

We absolutely loved this house! Lots of great amenities, the spa area was amazing. Lots of great thoughtful touches though out the house as well - the coffee bar, cozy blankets, comfortable beds. Beautiful view of the lake. We had a great time and would love to visit again!
